DOLGORUKOV (DOLGOROUKY) (Prince Mikhail Mikhailovich, 1838-1902, Equerry to Tsar Alexander II)

Autograph Letter Signed, in French with translation, to Monsieur Rousseau, asking him "to call on me tomorrow at 2 o'clock ... about a very serious matter", monogram MD on shield with helmet in red, blue, gold and black, 1 side 8vo., no place, 4th February large portion missing from blank margin with tear extending into text without loss

The writer's sister, Princess Ekaterina Dolgorukeva, 1847-1922, had been Alexander II's mistress and had borne him 2 sons and 2 daughters. The Empress Maria Feodorovna died on 9th June 1880.
