CHARLOTTE (1860-1919, eldest daughter of Emperor Friedrich III, from 1878 wife of Bernhard III, Duke of Saxe-Meiningen, sister of Kaiser Wilhelm II, Queen Victoria's Grandchild)

Fine Autograph Letter Signed "Charlotte & Bernhard" to "My dear Nana", shortly after her wedding, "Bernhard & I send you these few lines for tomorrow, wishing you manymany happy returns ... hoping you will see many a year to come yet ... I have got a little trifling thing for you, I shall bring home with me & then give you ..."

Princess Charlotte, the eldest daughter of Victoria Empress Frederick, married Bernhard III, Duke of Saxe-Meiningen (1851-1928) on 18th February 1878. The recipient is Mrs Wakelin, who was nanny to the children for many years.
