GUSTAF V (1858-1950, from 1907 King of Sweden) & his wife VIKTORIA (1862-1930)

Exceptional pair of  Presentation photos  by Atelier Florman, both signed, the King with the place and date, showing them both three quarters length, the King is wearing uniform and his Queen a lacy dress, his photo is 7½" x 5" and hers is 8" x 5½", in identical presentation gilt and metal frames each 13" x 9½", with gilt crowns at the head, Stockholm, 14th July

In the summer of 1909 Tsar Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra visited Sweden, returning the visit that Gustav and his wife had made after the wedding of Grand Duchess Marie of Russia in May 1908.
