SEAMAN (Sir Owen, 1861-1936, Poet, Satirist & Parodist)

Pair of Autograph Letters Signed to an unnamed correspondent, the first saying he doesn't "like the new second verse ... It seems to me a mistake to put the intentionally prosaic breakdown in the muddling of the verse & then go on with your romantic hypothesis ... to a world so topsy-turvy a little thing like your elevation to the Monarchy would pass unnoticed ...", and the other regretting that he cannot "accept any of these, especially after you have taken further trouble ... The fact is that I have been rather overdone with Fairy verses ...", each 1 side 4to., Punch Office headed paper, 31st December 1919 and 6th January
