We think that 'Romanoff N.' may be Nikita Alexandrovich (1900-1974), son of Grand Duchess Xenia (sister of Nicholas II) and Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich. In 1919 he escaped with his mother and the Dowager Empress to France and then England and went up to Oxford. He was married in Paris in 1922.
