Prince Rupert, the son of Charles II's Aunt Elizabeth of Bohemia lived in England after the Restoration and he was granted many honours. He was a founder member of the Royal Society and had his own scientific laboratory at Windsor. He never married but liveled a contented family life with his mistress the actress Peg Hughes and their daughter Ruperta.
