Fine pair of Coronation portraits with printed signatures and inscriptions he is shown full length standing in his coronation robes with his coronet on a table beside him, she is seated on a chair in her robes wearing her coronet, each 9" x 7", in original finely decorated wooden frames with gilt decoration around them, 14" x 11½", Westminster Abbey, 9th August

The coronation of Edward VII and his wife Alexandra as King and Queen of the United Kingdom and the British Empire took place at Westminster Abbey on the 9th August 1902. Originally scheduled for 26th June of that year, the ceremony had been postponed at very short notice, because the King had been taken ill with an abdominal abscess that required immediate surgery.
