Autograph Letter Signed to Charles REILLY (1874-1948, Head of the Liverpool School of Architecture) thanking him for his good wishes and saying that "Just at present I am very busy with drawing the floodlit nights in London. Did you see a full page drawing I had in the Times last Thursday? It might amuse! Really writing this from Stephen's house ... & my wife is in Oxford, but I am sure she sends her kind regards to you and your wife. I am glad to say that Stephen is now better after his nasty illness in Paris ..." with a postscript that is is "very proud of being an LL.D of Liverpool", 2 sides 4to., with original autograph envelope, Crayflete, Oxford headed paper, 15th May

His son Stephen (1904-1958, Painter writer and Broadcast and noted war artist). Sir Muirhead Bone received an Honorary Doctorate (LLD) from Liverpool in 1931.
