STOKOWSKI (Leopold Stanislaw Antoni, 1887-1977, Conductor)

Stokowski was born in London of a Polish father. After studying at the Royal College of Music he was organist and choirmaster at St. James's, Piccadilly, 1902-1905. He then moved to America where he conducted the Cincinnati and Philadelphia Orchestras between 1908 and 1936.
Elias GOLDENSKY (1867-1943, American Photographer) was called the "Wizard of Photography" and he had his studio in Philadelphia.
