(Royal Horse Artillery) and then he gives his address with a postscript on the verso signed with initials, apologising that he cannot come to a "Meeting next week. Please let me know what goes on, and find out what date early in October Mr Wood will be able to give us his statement of accounts ...", 2 sides 8vo., with a note in another hand, possibly Craig's, that the name of "Chas Weston is on the list of Long service men ...", Englemere, Ascot, Berks headed paper, 19th September

Roberts, hero of the Relief of Kandahar, won the Victoria Cross in the Indian Mutiny.
