Fine unsigned carte de visite photo by Mayall, showing him in profile to the left, three quarter length, seated at his desk and holding a quill pen to write a letter, with a thoughtful expression, 4" x 2½", no place, no date but November

The Prince died on the 14th December that year so this would be one of the last photos taken of him alive.
John Jabez Edwin Paisley MAYALL(1813 -1901) was an English photographer who in 1860 took the first carte-de-visite photographs of Queen Victoria.
