Fine Autograph Letter Signed to Miss Pamela Rolfe saying that is was "very nice to hear from you after all these years and I am glad you are happy in your teaching job and that you keep in touch with Mary Corderoy and her two children ... I am much touched by your remembering your stay at Long Meadow. The edition of 'Wind in the Willows' in full colour should be published in the autumn. I very much enjoyed doing it & the 'Pooh' books are to follow. I married my wife Norah in 1944. She was a nurse at St Mary's hospital, Padd. during the war and would come to my studio in St John's Wood on her days off and sleep while I worked on my cartoon for Punch. We lived at Long Meadow till 1955. It was too big for us after my children grew up and we came here to this pleasant village ...", with a postscript that he didn't "feel 90", 2 sides 8vo., Woodmancote, Lodsworth, nr Petworth headed paper, with original autograph envelope, 8th January
