On the 18th of June 1959, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh arrived in St. John's, Newfoundland to begin their 45-day Royal Tour of Canada. Over the course of the tour, they visited every Canadian province and territory. The Royals travelled across the country by boat, train, car, and aircraft and met thousands of Canadians at all manner of functions from balls, farm and mine visits, parades, social events, parliaments, concerts, and much more.
