Lloyd George was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1916 to 1922. A Liberal Party politician from Wales, he was known for leading the United Kingdom during the First World War, for social-reform policies (including the National Insurance Act 1911), for his role in the Paris Peace Conference, and for negotiating the establishment of the Irish Free State.
This image was probably take at The Genoa Economic and Financial Conference which was a formal conclave of 34 nations held in Genoa, Italy, from 10th April to 19th May 1922 that was planned by Lloyd George to resolve the major economic and political issues facing Europe and to deal with the pariah states of Germany and Russia, both of which had been excluded from the Paris Peace Conference of 1919.
