Autograph Musical Quotation Signed with a few bars of music, under which he has written “Lord Let us strive, and be Victorious...”, from his ‘Morning Hymn’, on a page for February 18th (his birthday) taken from a Birthday book, 4” x 2”, no place, no date

Sir George sang in the St. Matthew Passion in 1877 under Brahms, conducted the Boston Symphony Orchestra and was the first conductor of the Scottish Orchestra 1893-1895. He was knighted in 1914, never ceased to sing in public, including on radio, and at 84 held an exhibition of his paintings in London.
