Alfred ELLIS (1854-1930) was an English photographer who mainly photographed "theatrical royalty" such as Oscar Wilde and Dan Leno. From 1898 to 1918 he was in partnership with Stanisław Julian Ignacy Ostroróg as Alfred Ellis & Walery
Kirkby Lunn appeared in many French and Italian operas, but was best known as a Wagnerian. In addition to many appearances at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, she was seen frequently at the Metropolitan Opera, New York in the early years of the 20th century. She died in London, aged 56. In 1904 she gave the first English-language performance of the role of Kundry in Parsifal in the United States, in Boston
