(Bronislaw, 1882-1947, Polist Violinist)
Autograph Letter Signed to Miss Gorst,
thanking her “most heartily for your generous gift in aid of the German refugees. It gave me a great joy...”, 1 side 8vo., Hotel Imperial, Vienna headed paper, 30th March
Huberman was known for his individualistic interpretations and was praised for his tone color, expressiveness, and flexibility. The Gibson ex-Huberman Stradivarius violin, which bears his name, was stolen twice and recovered once during the period in which he owned the instrument. He is also remembered for founding the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
