TICKET FOR THE CORONATION OF GEORGE VI [GEORGE VI (1895-1952, King of Great Britain) and ELIZABETH (1900-2002, his Queen)]

Printed Invitation by the Duke of Norfolk as Earl Marshal to their Coronation, red embossed crown in heading, admitting Sir Herbert Llewellyn Smith to the “East Gallery of the South Transept”, entrance by Poets Corner, on the verso is an attractive map of the Abbey and surrounding streets, printed in red with an orange boundary, 6” x 8”, for Westminster Abbey, [12th May]

Sir Herbert Llewellyn Smith (1864-1945) was a civil servant. He served as permanent secretary to the Board of Trade from 1907 to 1919, where he played an important role in the Liberal government's welfare reforms. He also served as the chief economic advisor to the government from 1919 to 1927.
