ITEMS FROM QUEEN VICTORIA’S WARDROBE FROM HER WARDROBE MAID FLORA CAMERON VICTORIA (1819-1901, Queen of Great Britain)

Pair of Queen Victoria’s ivory silk monogrammed stockings, with crest and initials “V.R.” at the top, and embroidered clocks at the ankle, together with a pair of cotton shoes that are reputed to have belonged to the Queen as well, the stockings are quite laddered

Provenance: From the estate of Flora Cameron who was Queen Victoria’s wardrobe maid, and became her good friend. They were sold at Sotheby’s in the ‘80s. Victoria regularly gave her used underwear to her staff and all her stockings have her monogram at the top.
