LE BRETON (Sir Thomas, 1763-1838, Bailly of Jersey)

Autograph Letter in the third person to John Ebers in Bond Street, asking him to retain "the Opera box No. 92 or 95, respecting which he called this morning, at ... five guineas", with Le Breton's portrait engraved by B. Ebers took over the management of the Italian Opera House, Haymarket, from 1820-1827, was ruined by the enormous rent, and retrieved his fortunes by writing entertaining memoirs of his time there.
