Programme in French of the Concert
given in honour of the Officers of the visiting Russian Fleet, (following the Treaty of 1891), beginning with a greeting in verse of Armand Silvestre, read by Mlle du Minil of the Comédie Française, with other recitations and music, including pieces from Borodin's 'Prince Igor' and Victor Hugo's 'Hymn', and ending with the Marseillaise, under the direction of Paul Taffanel of the Conservatoire, 3 sides 8½" x 5¼", Hotel de Ville, Paris, 19th October
President Carnot reviewed the Russian fleet at Toulon, and a party of Russian Officers then travelled to Paris where they were received and entertained with the wildest enthusiasm.
