Signature on a fragment of an Exchequer document, in full discharge of £180,000 ordered under the Privy Seal to be paid to "his Highness" (the Duke of York), and referring to part payments of £40,000 and £53,090, 1 side 2¼" x 9¼", no date, c.

Clifford was one of the three ministers (including the Duke of York) who refused to conform to the Anglican church in 1673, and resigned his post.
