Document signed addressed to the Tellers of the Exchequer,
authorizing his servant Charles Price to receive the Duke's pension as a Gentleman of the Bedchamber, and to give the necessary discharge, with his armorial seal bearing France and England quarterly, and a very fine watermark of the Royal Arms of England (not quartered with France or Scotland), 1 side folio, no place, 14th August
Somerset was friendly with Cromwell, but on his death demanded a full and free Parliament, and in the Convention Parliament favoured the Restoration. He lived in great state at Badminton.
