MS Notebook of verses compiled by her, with her name on flyleaf, whimsical or sentimental , to do with courting or absence from home, with such titles as "Waiting round the corner", "The wedding ring", "Remember me", "A woman's caprice", "Do you think I should go", stitched in blue paper covers, 40 sides 7¾" x 6¼", no place, date inside cover spine a little worn

A few verses are attributed with initials. "Serenade" ('Wake dearest, wake', p. 38) is by Agnes Kingdon. Loosely inserted, in other hands, are verses by 'M E D' to William Betty, the actor prodigy, in answer to his boast "that three girls you very well know Would go through the River for the sake of you", and "To my Valentine" ('Though many saw [sic] mile between us lay').
