John Pitts, of Hatchard's bookshop, showing a stream between banks of trees and flowers, in full colour, with, printed below, "Flowers are lovely; love is flower-like; Friendship is a sheltering tree (Coleridge)", with original envelope, 8½" x 6½", printed by Raphael Tuck, no place, postmarked S.W.1., 18th December

Pitts was acquainted with Queen Mary through the fine photograph he took of George V riding in Hyde Park.
