Autograph letter signed to Mr England, suggesting "Re Harp, write to Mr Felix Hall", giving his address in Birmingham, "he or his brother would do beautifully and charge reasonably", ending "Yours ever", 1 side 8vo, Norfolk House, 315 Hagley Road, Birmingham, no date, circa faint trace of laying down at top of fourth side

Below the address, in another hand, is "28/-" (altered to 8/-), on the verso are the names of 12 performers, including "H. A. Branscombe Organ", (1856-1941, organist at St Margaret's, Prince's Park, Liverpool), and on the fourth side some numbers added up. Gaul's cantatas include 'Ruth', 'The Holy City', and 'Joan of Arc'.
