She talks about the difficulty of finding a good nursery-governess ('bonne'), to bring out and develop the child, an ordinary person will not do that, and the superior kind are pretentious and 'not worth it', she wonders if Maria's could recommend one, "Aunt Tinchen says yours came from a small new establishment and you are very pleased with her", she would have chosen a Russian but has held back, it is so difficult to find one among them that is neat and tidy, Countess Carlow writes that "you are all coming to Oranienbaum in a month's time", and hopes to see them before she transfers to Pavlovsk to have the baby, 4 sides 8vo in her attractive hand, Strelna (on the coast west of St Petersburg), 11th June
Tatiana's first child Prince Teymuraz was born on 21st August 1912. Oranienbaum was the home of Maria and her sister Olga's stepmother, Helene, who was a Princess of both Russia and Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
