Engraved "at home" card, in French, saying that she "restera chez elle" for the birthday of Queen Victoria, 1 side 3¾" x 5¼", [Paris], Wednesday 24th May n.y. but

Lord Malmesbury wrote that Earl Cowley "was not a little assisted by the remarkable intelligence of his wife, and by her knowledge of the world, of society, and of courts". William IV insisted she be married at Windsor, and gave her away.
