Attractive greetings card in colours, inscribed on the verso "For my darling Nana ... a very happy New Year from her loving old Mossy" (her family name), in between is a printed verse 'The march of the season', "Happy as a bride and bridegroom ... May this season as in reason it should prove to thee! ...", the front shows a procession of wise-looking owls titled 'The Wedding March', no place, no date, circa

Mrs Wakelin was Nanny to the children of the Crown Prince, later Emperor Friedrich III, and Vicky, till 1879. She remarried in 1886 to William Morter of Hampstead, but kept up with the children for many years.
