[GEORGE IV (1762-1830, King of Great Britain)]

Free pardon, lacking the King's signature at the head, but countersigned by Sir Robert PEEL(1788-1850, Home Secretary, later Prime Minister) for a list of people, "now under sentence of Transportation in the General Penitentiary at Millbank" for felony, beginning "George Brown at Norwich in July 1824", and continuing with Dennis McCarthy, Thomas Coombe, Richard Cook, Caroline Mason, Elizabeth Trunnery, William Newberry, Benjamin Stokes, Ann Roach, and Mary Edwards, each with their place of conviction and date, in the form of a warrant for their release "in consideration of some circumstances humbly represented unto Us", royal papered seal, 2 sides 9½" x 7¾" and conjugate leaf, St. James's, 29th January lacking top portion with signature and corresponding text on verso

In spite of the imperfections an interesting social document.
