Autograph letter signed to Lady ROSSLYN (Blanche, 1839-1933, mother by her first marriage of 'darling Daisy', [Frances, Countess of Warwick, mistress of Edward VII] , and widow of the 4th Earl), saying "It is very dear & nice of you to have thoughts of me today", (his 73rd birthday), "I went to the Victoria Station this morning & saw dear Vi & Henry start very cheerily, & I hope, as the day was fine ... that they may have had a good passage. The change of climate for a few weeks will I hope do Vi a great deal of good", and hoping "soon to be allowed to call on you", 2 sides black-edged, 7" x 4½", Gloucester House, Park Lane, 26th March

The Rosslyns were close friends of the Queen and the Royal Family. Miss Blanche Maynard, Lady Rosslyn's other daughter by her first marriage, married Prince George's ADC, Lord Algy Gordon-Lennox.
