Manuscript Extract from their Lady-in-Waiting's Account Book, distinguishing 'Joint Account' and individual payments, the earliest, headed 'Spring 1890' and in pencil, being in Marks and Pfennigs, including 880.80 to Bacharach and 120 to 'Massage' (side 5), the rest in pounds, shillings and pence, headed 'Summer 1890' and in ink, with payments to individuals such as Madame Rubens and shops such as Marshall & Snelgrove, Barker, Harvey & Nichol, and Gorrin[g]e, on side 2 is the grand total of £447 9s 10d, which includes the German money converted at 20 to the £, a delightful peep into their shopping habits, 5 single sides 11" x 8", no place, neat staples in left margin
