Two groups of photographs, on an album leaf, the first, 7 in number,
identified in her handwriting, headed 'Coburg', apparently taken at the time of her father's funeral there, showing 'Bee', (her youngest sister Beatrice, 1884-1966), 'Nando, Charlie, Ernie' (her husband, nephew Karl Eduard, who succeeded Duke Alfred, and brother-in-law Ernst of Hesse), 'Ducky, Self & Sandra' (with her sisters Victoria Melita, Ernie's wife, later wife of Grand Duke Kirill of Russia, and Alexandra, wife of Ernst, 7th Prince of Hohenlohe Langenburg, who was Regent for Karl Eduard, 1900-1905), 'Ducky, Sandra, & Self', walking in the garden, and 'Charlie' in uniform, these 6 photos approximately 2¼" x 3¼", grouped round an attractive view of Schloss Rosenau, 3¾" x 5¾", on the verso are 17 small snapshots of a holiday in the Baltic, beginning at Sassnitz (on the island of Rügen, off the German coast), including one of 'Charlie' and his equerry Captain Curt v. Gillhausen on the beach, two others show 'Lisbeth', 'Wright', 'Ethel' and 'Mother' swimming from a bathing machine, and continuing up the Swedish coast to Karlskrona, Kalmar, and 'near Stockholm', these 17 approximately 1½" x 2", together 23 photos laid down on 2 sides card 10½" x 14", Coburg and the Baltic,
a few trifling defects from rubbing, edges of card somewhat chipped
The photos of the three elder sisters show them dressed alike, seated alike and walking alike in the garden.
