Autograph letter signed to 'Dear Sir', pleased at "everything appearing perfect in the New Dock after the Admission of Water - I trust the Works will prove perfect after the most severe trial ... which would be the laying Dock dry, of which there will probably be no need - I shall be glad to hear of the admission of Ships, and of the Revenue of the Docks recompensing the Subscribers", 1 side 10" x 8", Newcastle, 19th December some light creasing at blank edges without loss
