Fine unsigned Cabinet Portrait Photograph, by W & D Downey, showing him seated full length, full face, in his robes for the opening of parliament, he is almost imperceptibly to one side to show the carved Crown and Tudor Rose at the head of his throne, behind are the fine Gothic decorations on the wall including repeated 'VR', 6½" x 4¼", House of Lords, dated in another hand on verso a little light spotting on the mount

One of the last photos of the King who died on 6th May that year.
