Unsigned Portrait Postcard Photograph, showing them seated full length, full or three quarter face, the Princess sitting affectionately on the knee of her father, who has a thoughtful look, with their dog at his feet, the seat has a fine tapestry rug, 5½" x 3½", no place, no date, circa small light crease in dark portion across one corner, edges a trifle worn

Elisabeth and her father grew even closer after her mother had left. Tragically she died suddenly of typhoid at the hunting lodge in Poland where they were visiting the Grand Duke's sister Alix and her husband Nicholas II.
