VII (12/8 in G minor), the words in French by Kazimierz (Przerwa-)Tetmajer, (1865-1940, Polish poet, writer and journalist), describing the calm night scene, invoking the music "of my soul" to spread its wings over all, his thoughts and dreams fly up, finally glimpsing, but by now "agitato", an eagle in his beloved Tatra mountains, soaring but suspended above the abyss, signed and inscribed in French on no. V to Fernand Francell (1880-1966, French tenor) "with all fellow-feeling, admiration and homage from the author", and dated, respectively 3, 3 and 5 sides including titles 13½" x 10¾", Lausanne, Foetisch Frères, the inscription Morges, Switzerland, August
