'A travers champs', no. 1 of 'Six romances sans paroles' for piano, Op. 27, E flat in 2/4, Allegretto grazioso, wandering "through the fields", signed and inscribed in French to Madame Chardin, "A souvenir from her devoted G. Pfeiffer", 1+6 sides in buff covers 13¾" x 10¾", title in a pleasant rococo frame, Paris, E. Heu, the inscription no place, no date, circa a little browned but printing very clear, outer covers a little worn and separated at fold without loss
