Fine unsigned informal Photograph of a late afternoon outdoor party, showing Mrs Simpson standing in profile in a check frock, a cardigan loose on her shoulders, looking at the table at which the King is sitting, his back to the camera, with seven other guests or crew members (one in naval cap and jacket) at this or a second table, against a background of trees, taken during their cruise on Lady Yule's 'Nahlin' from the Adriatic to Turkey and back, on the verso is Columbia's full-page notice of Jack Le Vien's two-hour film, 1965, based on the Duke's 'A King's Story' but greatly expanded using footage and stills as here from the Duke's private collection, 10" x 8", from an original of

These photos were reproduced, mostly for the first time, from his private collection, as press releases for Jack Le Vien's film 'A King's Story'. This comes from his yachting tour when King with Mrs Simpson in the summer of 1936 when they travelled around the Mediterranean.
