Autograph Letter Signed to Mr. Vaughan, saying "It is indeed a thing to worry over that so many famous & beautiful cities & buildings are in danger of destruction in these sad days", and suggesting he offer his photographs of Kairuan in Tunisia to Dr. Henry Thomas, Deputy Keeper of Printed Books, who "tells me his Department often takes photographs and would be glad of them", he is "very glad you enjoyed the Dafydd ap Gwilym" (edited with Idris Bell's son David in an edition of 50 copies), "the Society is going to reprint the volume ... It is gratifying ... that it apparently met a need", 2 sides 7" x 4½", British Museum, London, 15th January one blank corner defective, later identification at foot of second side
