Autograph Letter Signed to 'Dear Granty', asking "Could you possibly find time to run up and see me tomorrow (Tuesday)? I have at last seen Miss Fletcher who would like to have a few words with you", she is "rather done up, & have only just come back from my Leamington home & have to be off again on Wednesday", 1 side 8vo., 3 Cantley Mansions, 68 Fairhazel Gardens, South Hampstead, 'Monday' no date, circa

Beatrice Harraden's 'Ships that Pass in the Night', (1893), gave rise to the phrase for a fleeting encounter, a theme in most of her literary work. Later she wrote for only 90 minutes a day, spending the rest in support of the suffragist movement.
