(all ... dangers ... of the seas and of navigation ... excepted)", to "Messrs Newton Gordon & Murdoch" in Madeira, with the details of the freight charges "payable in Bills on London at par", pleasing woodcut of a ship at the head, printed with manuscript additions, 7½" x 9½", the Aurora "now riding at Anchor in the Harbor of Quebec", 25th October

Given the war with France, Madeira was an important stage for re-victualling British ships bound for the West Indies.
