REYNOLDS (Quentin, 1902-1965, American Journalist and WWII War Correspondent)

Pair of Typed Letters Signed to Mrs Windsor, at Lanivet Rectory, Bodmin, thanking her "for your very kind letter. I'm so glad you enjoyed the postscript" and hoping her dog has returned (18th August 1941), "I am afraid I have no photos at present" but suggesting a copy of Collier's Weekly, he knows "just how you feel" about her terrier, "(I am not being facetious) I used to keep three goldfish as pets myself", (16th September 1941), together 2 sides 4to, Savoy Hotel, London, small defect in blank margin of second letter

Reynolds, the London correspondent of Collier's, had provided the commentary and voice-over for 'London Can Take It', filmed during a fortnight during the actual blitz. He followed it with his book 'Britain Can Take It' in 1941. Reynolds showed the film to Roosevelt, and it had considerable effect in furthering American support.
