OLGA ALEXANDROVNA (1882-1960, younger daughter of Alexander III)

Fine Group Portrait Postcard in black and white, of the painting by Laurits Tuxen (1853-1927, Danish artist), of King Christian IX and his family, including also on their annual visit, his Russian son-in-law Alexander III, recently crowned, and his family, inscribed on the verso by Grand Duchess Olga "This huge painting was done at Fredensborg in 1883. Olga sent this postcard to Mrs. Bessie SINCLAIR about 1939. Mrs Sinclair was with the family of Alexander III some time around 1893 and was particularly close to Olga. By 1902 she was at Sandringham. At this time she was living at 4 Knighton Close in Woodford Green, Essex, and had recently written to Olga in Denmark.
