Beautifully Printed Menu of the Banquet given by the Corporation of London in their honour,
(Alderman, later Sir Richard Nichols, b. 1938, Lord Mayor), on the cover in gold on a deep red background are the Chrysanthemum of Japan and the Arms of the City of London framing the title, inside is a full-page photograph of the Emperor and Empress, the menu, the music by the Salon Orchestra of the Royal Air Force, supported by the Trumpeters of the Blues and Royals, beautiful reproductions of Irises by the artist Ogata Korin (1658-1716), and articles on 'Japan and the City of London', 'Magna Carta', 'Guildhall', and the 'Old Library', all with fine photographs, and the names of the reception committee, tasselled gold cord, 10 sides and Japanese-style endpapers in covers 11¾" x 8¼", Guildhall, London, 27th May
