Documents to be produced by Bride & Bridegroom", Nadejda (1896-1963, daughter of Grand Duke Mikhail Mikhailovich of Russia), and the writer's son George (1892-1938, from 1921 2nd Marquess of Milford Haven), "2. Revd. Horan's participation (I gave the wrong name). The nominal fortnight's residence at St. James's Palace we can arrange for. If the Grand Duke has seen Dawson, he will no doubt obtain ... the seating capacity", commenting that "The King thought the Galleries were not safe for full number. Prince Louis, of the Hesse-Darmstadt Battenbergs, came to England and joined the Navy at 14; his distinguished career took him to First Sea Lord, 1912-1914.
The couple were married at the Chapel Royal, St. James's, on 15th November 1916.
