Autograph Letter Signed in French, with translation, to an unnamed correspondent, explaining that he is "in an awkward position ... About a fortnight ago M. Lequense, the French Consul, made me promise to dine with him as soon as Captain Fréron, the naval attach‚, was back from France ... the Consul wanted to make it easier for me to be able to visit and arsenal ..." asking to postpone their meeting from the Sunday arranged to the following Thursday and sending his warm best wishes to the family, 3 sides 8vo., no place, no date, Friday evening

Probably the same Père Feuillette O.P., who gave the Columbus 400th anniversary address in Notre Dame, 16th October 1892, which like this letter, shows a great interest in naval history.
