particularly the
Collegium Carolinum, Brunswick
at a critical period. Founded by Karl I in 1745 and where the Duke himself had been a pupil, today the Technical University has 17,000 students. Two items are letters of appointment at the Carolinum, two thank Wagner for his edition of
Shakespeare's Plays
