Letter signed 'Frederic', in German translation, to "the Head Commissary of Stores Bein zu Jordan"
saying that "His Royal Majesty of Prussia, our most gracious lord, regarding the liquidation submitted to the Military Department for the transport and expenses of 1,528 Wispel wheat cereals, which are enormously high and out of all proportion to the purchase price: the order is given to the Head Commissary of Stores Bein to buy in the area of Bromberg, Elbing and Marienwerder, as a transport via Pillau and Szczecin would cause horrendously expensive costs. The costs are 3 ½ Taler per Wispel, which on average is no advantage compared to a purchase. The Head Commissary Bein is informed that the transport via Pillau and Szczecin will not be approved ...", 1 side 4to., Potsdam 16th October

requesting information from his correspondent, sasking him to "send me a summary list including the number of recruits the companies of your regiment have had during the last years, and specifically how many of them you had to recruit from out of our land, and how many were recruited from the catchment regiment area … It is not necessary to specify the height, size and weight of the recruits ..." further requiring more specific details, saying "Apart from that I want you to send me a list including the number of recruits in the regiment who are sized 3 tall or higher, and if they are vagabonds ...", 1 side 4to., Berlin, 19th January

Furious Letter signed Friedrich, in German, to Samuel Von MARSCHALL
(1683-1749, Prussian Minister under Frederick I and II),Frederick, as King, shows his anger by underlining some sentences, and sends his complaints to his correspondent stating that "you will remember my recent dissatisfaction with the gold factory. There are only small stocks of mineral ..." further saying "I ruled in the past that there has to be a good and enough store of different minerals at any time. I am very disconcerted that no one satisfies these orders. If a quantity is demanded it isn't there and has to be ordered, which means a delay of some week ...", he concludes that "to get information about who is guilty or what is happening with the lack of stocks in the factory I have decided to call a special committee which will investigate the incident ...", he then lists the members of the committee, including the Finance Minister von Boden, and few more high officers, 1 side 4to., Berlin, 21st December

the first with eight guests, the Queen seated almost full length, full face, as hostess she is bare-headed, King Frederik stands on the left with a cigarette looking at her, Sir John Anderson, (1882-1958, O.M., from 1952 1st Viscount Waverley), stands behind the Queen holding a glass, while Ava, Lady Waverley, (1896-1974), sits next to her in a purple dress catching the bright sunlight, in the second King Frederik stands by Lord Waverley talking to Lady Waverley, who is in shadow, each 4½" x 3", no place, printed date on versos 'week of' 31st August
