wishing her "A happy Christmas, and very many thanks for your calendar. I used the one you sent me last year all the year round - and shall do the same ... banishing a street in Worcester of which I grew quite fond, for sea, ships and gulls", he is "replying in kind", he would have sent also his new book "under a new pen-name, 'Anthony Swift' ", but it will not now be out till January, 1 side 8vo, no place, 21st December
